Gandhi pointed out that we must be the change that we wish to see in
the world. Students awarded PIN Grants will gain first-hand
experience working in crucial public interest programs. Many
public interest organizations do not have the financial resources to
pay for a summer intern. PIN Grant recipients will provide much
needed staff support to an array of organizations serving the
disadvantaged and addressing public interest issues.
The
ripple effect of this program can become exponential--encouraging pro
bono legal services that can lead to careers in public service and
networks across the legal community.
