NMM 3414. Violin, northern Italy, ca. 1660. Later belly attributed to Antonio Stradivari. Ex coll.: E. M. W. Paul, London. Witten-Rawlins Collection, 1984.
Laurence Witten, the collector who obtained this violin from E. M. W. Paul in the mid-1960s, suggested that the back and ribs might have been made by Antonio Casini of Modena. The scroll, according to Witten, was probably made by a member of the Testore family of Milan.
