Top: one-piece, quarter-cut spruce, fine grain.
Back: one-piece, quarter-cut maple with faint, medium curl, ascending slightly from treble to
bass; lower bass flank is an original, separate
piece of maple; maple dowel through back
into bottom block, just inside of purfling.
Ribs: quarter-cut maple with
faint, medium curl; ribs corners chamfered.
Head: plain maple; grafted neck.
Varnish: dark orange over brown ground.
F-holes: slightly undercut.
Linings: spruce.
Corner blocks: spruce.
