NMM 5765. Soprano saxophone in B-flat by Adolphe Edouard Sax (1859-1945), Paris, ca. 1900-1907. Serial number 15352. Engraved, vertically, on right side of bell: [monogram with S superimposed over A, and the word FILS notated within the center line of the letter S] / MÉDAILLE D’OR 1900 / Adolphe SAX / Feur de l’Académie Nle de Musique / 84. RUE MYRHA / PARIS / MADE IN FRANCE / 15352. Straight soprano. Silver-plated with gold-plated bell interior. Mother-of-pearl touchpieces. Fingered range: low B-flat to high E-flat. Automatic second-octave key. Three ebonite, spatula-key rollers, two ebonite, right-hand, pinky-finger rollers. Modern keywork; without forked E-flat or G-sharp trill keys. Length: 640 mm.
