NMM 7279. Natural trumpet (towel), Blackwater River, Sepik Region, Papua New Guinea, 1970. Side-blown, wooden, natural trumpet. Abstract animal or human figure carved above embouchure hole, with semi-circular and curvilinear designs beneath. Bottom half of body not carved. Length: 66 cm (26"). Joe R. and Joella F.
