NMM 4708. Flute in D-flat (low pitch) by C. G. Conn Ltd., Elkhart, ca. 1917. Serial no. 44096. Improved Wonder line. Boehm system, closed hole, C foot. Two sections. Engraved on socket: -MADE BY- / C. G. Conn Ltd. / ELKHART / - IND. -.; stamped under G-sharp key: 44096 / D. L.; stamped on rib: 44096. Silver-plated. Ebonite head joint with gold-plated end cap and ferrules. Ebonite index finger rest and crutch, both with inlaid, mother-of-pearl dots. Ebonite rollers. Sixteen gold-plated keys. Open G-sharp key. Total length, 25-1/2" (647 mm). Arne B. Larson Estate, 1989.
