Four sections. Stamped on front of top joint: MAZZEO / [star] / BUNDY / [star] (in badge with [star] / BUNDY). Stamped on back of top joint: U.S. PATENT 2,867,146. Stamped on bell: [star] / BUNDY / [star] (in badge with [star] / BUNDY) / RESONITE / MADE BY / Selmer / [R within a circle] / Elkhart, Indiana. Serial number 261543. Selmer-Mazzeo Bundy Resonite model 1400. Resonite-plastic body, German-silver keys, rings, ferrules. Basic Mazzeo system. 17 keys, 5 rings, 1 left-hand thumb plateau key, rod/pillar mounts. Key modifications: plateau key for left-hand thumb; right-hand side key for throat B-flat. Rosario Mazzeo's U.S. patent #2,867,146 (1959). Length (top of barrel to bottom of bell), 598 mm. Mouthpiece, ebonite, stamped: Geo. M. Bundy (in script and underlined) / 3.
