NMM 5925. Clarinet in C by Graves & Alexander, Winchester, New Hampshire, ca. 1827-1833. Four sections. Stamped on barrel and twice on bottom joint: GRAVES & ALEXANDER; on top joint and bell: [eagle] / GRAVES & / ALEXANDER / C. Boxwood, ivory ferrules. Five brass keys with flat, round key covers, mounted in blocks; springs attached to keys (SATK). Bottom joint stock bulge. Cranked f-sharp/c-sharp2 key. Length (top of barrel to bottom of bell), 526 mm. Gift of William J. Maynard, Massapequa Park, New York, 1996.
