This is a call for papers for the 13th Annual Meeting of the Great Plains Political Science Association. The Great Plains Political Science Association was created in 1997 to promote the study of political science and public affairs. The Association has been particularly interested in supporting academic study of these topics and does so through its annual conference that serves as a forum for both faculty and student presentations, faculty development and public affairs workshops.
The 13th Annual Meeting will be held at the University Center in Sioux Falls, SD on September 18, 2010 (Saturday).
We invite abstracts for papers in all fields of Political Science, including interdisciplinary projects. The final deadline for abstract submission is August 31, however we encourage early submission. Abstracts for paper presentations should be submitted via the website. Any questions can be sent to Shane.Nordyke@usd.edu.
We are delighted to have Dr. Ken Meier as our Keynote speaker this year. Professor Meier is the Charles H. Gregory Chair in Liberal Arts at Texas A&M University and the director of the Project for Equity, Representation and Governance, the Texas Educational Excellence Project, and the Carlos Cantu Hispanic Education and Opportunity.
The Association invites papers on a broad range of political science and public administration research.
Student papers submitted in advance of the conference will be eligible to compete for the GPPSA Best Undergraduate Student Paper Award ($50 prize) and Best Graduate Student Paper Award ($50 prize).
