The Mission of the 10% Society
Our Mission
The University of South Dakota's 10% Society (formerly Gay Lesbian Bisexual Alliance) mission is to promote awareness and understanding of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender issues on campus and in the surrounding communities. We also hope to provide a positive campus environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students through the following:
- providing a place where group members can confidentially discuss personal, school and social issues
- promoting personal growth and a sense of identity among group members
- providing emotional support for group members, and
- fostering a sense of pride in being gay, lesbian, or bisexual.
