Dear 2011 Girls State Citizens:

Congratulation! You have been chosen to attend South Dakota Girls State 2011! Your talents, intelligence, and involvement have earned you the honor of participating in Girls State.

While the schematics of Girls State may still be a mystery to you, don't panic. Everything will be explained upon your arrival.The week will be full of fun and , yes, you will learn something. You'll also experience elections, make many new friends, and have the change to expand your knowledge of government and even yourself. The opportunities are endless.

Il look forward to meeting and working with all of you, and I encourage you to come to Girls State with an open mind and plenty of optimistic attitude. You are responsible for your own involvement, and I am positive you'll take advantage of this chance.
