As President of the American Legion Auxiliary, and all South Dakota American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Program at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion. You will enjoy a week of learning and meeting girls from across the state of South Dakota and having some of those friendships for the rest of your life. This year, 2011, marks the 65th session for the Girls State Program.

 

During your stay this week, you will have the opportunity to be part of a democracy and government exercises. Please get involved in the programs that are offered. You will learn more by being involved and your involvement will make your experience more enjoyable. your special talents will show through your work.

 

The American Legion Auxiliary Girls State is something you will always remember and be proud that you decided to participate. Have a great time and remember the special friendships you made and the learning experience you had a the South Dakota American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Program.

 

I am looking forward to meeting with each of you throughout the week. I will help in every way I can to makes this a week for you to remember and enjoy. The American Legion Auxiliary is very proud of each of you.
