USD Club Tennis

 

The Coyotes used a strong team effort to defeat the Buena Vista University Beavers 7-2 on October 19 in Storm Lake, IA. USD swept the doubles matches to set the tone for the meet. Nate Scheidel and Mike Dailey put in an impressive performance at #3 doubles, winning 8-2. Jason Holoch and Todd Wheeler pulled away late in a tough match at #1 to win 8-4, while Daniel Heckmann and Ryan Fairley staged a comeback from 3-6 down to pull out a 9-7 victory. Needing to win only 2 of the 6 singles matches following the doubles results, the Coyotes proved stronger in singles competition as well. Jason Holoch, Daniel Heckmann, Ryan Fairley, and Todd Wheeler secured victories as USD wrapped up its first match of the year.
