Welcome to USD Ally!

Education. Awareness. Responsibility.

"Ally" is a student organization closely affiliated with the Clinical Psychology Training Program at The University of South Dakota.  This group organizes and sponsors lectures, discussions, and service activities regarding all issues of diversity.  Topics of focus vary according to student interest and relevant issues as they arise. The goal of this organization is to promote and supplement the commitment to diversity of the Clinical Psychology Training Program by offering all students, particularly from non-minority backgrounds, the opportunity to discuss beliefs, attitudes, and action necessary to be socially responsible individuals and competent professionals.  It is our belief that ending prejudice and creating a global community requires continuing education, self-awareness, and the spirit of service in order to truly be allies to our friends, colleagues and the individuals and communities we serve.  As allies, we advocate to end social injustice, promote understanding, and work toward a truly free, benevolent, and accountable society.
