Training Program, University of South Dakota Vermillion, SD Title: Developing a
Measure of Nonverbal Intelligence for the Visually-Impaired: The Three-Dimensional
Haptic Matrices. This study employed
a divergent-convergent validation of a proposed haptic test similar to Ravens
Progressive Matrices, using a population of participants with various degrees
of visual impairment. Project
required coordination with various state agencies and organizations for the
blind and visually-impaired. Major Advisor: Gemma Skillman, Ph.D. |

re-analysis of data used in the MA thesis project. Organized two hours of weekly collaboration with four other
graduate students to produce a grounded-theory model and analysis of
visually-impaired examinees’ metacognitive report of problem-solving strategy
with a haptic test of nonverbal cognitive ability. Major Advisor: Gemma Skillman, Ph.D. |
